Recognition from DesignRush
Breaking News!
So I've only just got my new website up and running in the last few weeks and what better way to launch my blog than posting a little news that I am absolutely delighted to share… I was initially nominated for, but have now been confirmed as a finalist for the DesignRush January App Design Awards for my Pulse Music app. I am thrilled to be getting this recognition!
DesignRush are a leading online platform that connects businesses with professional agencies and they highlight standout work across the global design industry. They showcase agencies and independent studios that demonstrate strong thinking, clear execution, and measurable impact across branding, UX/UI, web design, and digital product design.
DesignRush is a B2B marketplace and editorial platform used by companies worldwide to discover vetted design, development, and marketing partners. Alongside their agency listings, they publish curated content, industry insights, and awards that spotlight high-quality creative work.
Being featured is a such a meaningful acknowledgement of the work I produce for clients — work that prioritises clarity, usability, and real-world outcomes rather than surface-level aesthetics. So needless to say, this is a big deal for me!
Their Design Awards are reviewed by a jury of experienced creative leaders with backgrounds at companies such as Apple, Nike, Meta, Disney, and Google. Inclusion in this process places a strong emphasis not just on visual design, but on strategy, problem-solving, and execution - values that align closely with how I approach my work.
Recognition from DesignRush isn’t just a badge for me to display here and there - it’s third-party validation from an industry platform that evaluates work at scale. For clients, I believe this will reinforce confidence in the design process and decision-making behind each project I work on. For me, it’s encouragement to keep pushing for higher standards across usability, accessibility, and performance!
As an independent designer and sole trader, visibility like this helps elevate my game! It highlights that high-quality, strategic design doesn’t require layers of account management and big industry behind it - it requires clear thinking, experience, and care in execution.
Looking Ahead
This feature comes at a time when I’m continuing to expand my focus on scalable design systems, developing my Figma skills, Framer builds, and long-term partnerships with clients who value design as a business tool rather than a cosmetic layer.
I’m looking forward to sharing more details once the DesignRush feature goes live and insights from the review process. You can read DesignRush's official take on my app here, reviewed by Branko Dimitrijević.

Peace and Love,
